For The Love Of Port

I am trying to find Crusted Port in Washington DC. Some stores owners have said in the past that Dow's Crusted is pretty much the only game in town... but I cannot even find it.

I have VP's and love them--but a Graham's 77 isn't for every day etc -- but I'm trying to bridge the VP to LPV/Reserve gap. I imagine from the literature that a Crusted is a super Reserve... and now I desperately want to try it.

Try Wine-Searcher under "Crusted Port"....mainly Dows and Churchill.

i recently found the Quevedo Crusted at a store in Pittsburgh, PA [we don't have a wide selection]. it was my first Crusted and i loved it. good luck!

Dow is the only one I ever see and it's been some time since I have seen it. I have a few bottles of Taylor's crusted from late 70's. I reserve them only for when a port geek is over who's never tried it.
