This old white port was released by the wine monopoly in Norway September 2004. In the official description it states that it has been stored in oak barrels for 377 months (= 31 years 5 months). If I assume that it was bottled during the spring of 2004, it means it was harvested autumn 1972. In US a similar port was sold as “Casa de Santa Eufemia Special Reserve white port”, and many of the US-tasting notes are referring to 1973 as the real vintage (although not mentioned on the bottles).
The Norwegian version is from 1972, which is maybe the reason why the name is slightly different (see also picture). Neither the vintage nor the bottling year is mentioned on the bottle.

We purchased a case of six at release and consumed most in period 2004-2009. However, kept one bottle to see how it stayed on. Well, I waited too long as it was now completely gone. Cork was completely soaked, colour was a cloudy as it can get and aroma was full of diesel. It stayed in the decanter for 3 hrs to see if something was going to happen, but it was unfortunately undrinkable. NR.
