Re: How do I run a Port tasting?

I'm not a sommelier. Just a wine enthusiast, specially in Port Wines and I live in Portugal so I have the opportunity to taste a lot of Port Wines.
I do not drink by the book rules.
I think 12 hours decanting a 2011 vintage is too much. I drank lots of 2011 vintage with just 2-3 hours and looks just fine.
For the glass choice... many divergent reviews . I prefer one large riedel glass, but most important use fine glass. I only use small Port wine glasses for tawny and madeira. And finally , the most important, right temperature on the wine. I usually drink at 12-14° C.
