NV Quinta do Vallado 20 Year Old Tawny Port

Served at the 2nd meeting of the Sammamish Port club.
Quinta do Vallado 20-yr old Tawny Port
bottled 2014, 500 ml bottle
Color: Lightest color of the 6, medium light tawny.
Nose: Caramel, sugar, some tart apricot.
Palate: Tasted oats. Smooth, feminine. Easy to drink. A very "typical" 20-yr old tawny Port.
Score: 92 points. Just edged out by the Andressen leaving it in 3rd overall (out of 6). Its typicality might have been its downfall in that it just wasn't as interesting as the Andressen, though equally as good.
