Hi guys, my wife and i have been port lovers for many years now, i prefer beer and port my wife is wine cider and port. We have our good ports and cheap ports. Last weekend we did a few wineries in the Langhorne Creek area in South Australia, buying 14 bottles of port and a few wines. There were a few wineries that sold tawny in 25 liter and 10 liter containers, and am now thinking of buying a 14L or 9L barrel. Do many here use barrels? And when pouring from a barrel is it per glass or into a decanter? Cheers

Re: Port barrel question
I have one tiny barrel, it holds a little more than a gallon, in this case about 5+ bottles. I used it to hold Tawny Port many years ago, but I haven't used it for many years.

Ambition driven by passion, rather than money, is as strong an elixir as is Port. http://www.fortheloveofport.com
