TN: 2002 Herdade do Mouchao Tinto Alentejo red

One of two bottles from auction in Norway this summer.
Decanted 4.5 hrs. Dark redbrown colour. Deep and pleasantly complex aroma of dark berries (especially blackcurrant), then soil and ending with a touch of flowers/perfume. Full to medium body. Taste is powerful, full of berries (blackcurrant), then oak and plenty minerals. Quite interesting structure and a nice acid/sugar-balance. Although being on the dry side, the tannins are subdued, and it all ends up in a very interesting and pleasant red wine. Medium to long aftertaste. 94 pts.
