(bottled 2007)
Very dark, darkest of the bunch (of four wines from 1937), with good clarity; brown with red tint. Wonderful sweet aroma, concentrated maple barrel, brown sugar, dried date, and just a tiny bit of rubber shows up with extreme sniffing. The flavor matches the aromas, but more musty and stale. Despite this, it has a refreshing body and acid. Later it reminded me of an old wood closet, and tasted of key lime pie. This was my favorite of the ‘7s for aroma. 92 points.
