Tasted blind. Aroma is more cooked and rubbery, but not as bad as wine #2 (1997 Caves Messias Quinta do Cachão). Swirling gives a hint of dried fruit in the background, hiding behind some mint. Slightly thin, this is more refreshing in body with lemon, orange, and even lime acidity. Don’t serve this with a heavy chocolate dessert, but the acid could be nice with the right fruit topped dessert. Still has some good tannins too! A shoulder-season Port. Later noticed cinnamon and green pepper. 91-92 points.
