NV DR 40 Year Old (Quinta da Levandeira de Roncão) Tawny Port

Bottled 2014. Decanted 45 minutes. Medium dark brown/cognac colour. Tiny bit signs of oxidation. Aroma of humid cellar, plenty soil and citrus, some nuts and herbs. Full body. Powerful, fantastically elegant, really a mouthful of caramel, nuts, soil and herbs in a round style. Excellent well-structured old tawny port which also has a very good acidity/sweetness balance and tannins being nicely integrated. Long aftertaste. 96 pts.
