1977 Gould Campbell Vintage Port

Tasted blind. Smells of berry and some simple grape juice, with some red fruit underneath, actually fresh fruit and not dried. Swirling gives a more oxidized aroma, definite prune, with a little cola. Tastes like the youngest of the bunch (out of eleven 1977s), with primary fruits like peach and raspberry, but also seems a little thin as well. Originally (based on appearance), I thought this was the Smith Woodhouse, but now I'm tending to think this is the Gould Campbell. Both were weaker showings on this day. Don't swish this around too much in the mouth, as this makes it seem disappointingly thin. 91 points.
