This is our very last bottle of 1960 Krohn Colheita. This particular bottle was purchased at an auction in Norway last year.
Bottled 2000 (bottled 40 years old). Cork was in very good condition. Decanted 2 hrs. Dark brown colour. Tiny bit oxidized (which was also the case with my previous bottle enjoyed July 2015). Intense aroma of wood, citrus, old humid cellar, herbs and a touch of spirit. Full body. Powerful, really a mouthful and it is floating along in a pleasant way. Taste showing caramel, citrus, nuts and wood. Well-structured colheita port, and the balance acidity/sweetness was fairly good. Long aftertaste. A couple of points down from previous experiences. 94 pts.
