NV Niepoort 20 years tawny port

Bottled 2017. Decanted 2 hrs. Medium brown cognac colour, however with a clear element of red. “Dusty” aroma of oak, minerals and tiny touch of sweet berries. Full body. Straight away the taste was powerful and elegant. Citrus, oak and caramel, all in a subdued way. Pleasant, strong and polished tannins. BUT, this tawny is kind of too polished and is on the border of lacking “personality”. Medium length aftertaste. Still, I give it 92 pts.
