Andresen 10 Year Old White Tawny Port

Post by Eric Menchen »

(Bottled 2017) Beautiful color, with quite a lot of orange, and great clarity–crystal clear. Light spirit aroma, along with nut and apricot. The spirit comes through in the flavor as well, along with candied lemon and orange. Tastes of sweet cognac. Lots of citrus, with decent sugars, and hint of cedar. 88 points.

As a general disclaimer, I think I have to accept that I don't really like white Port as much as I like red Ports. I've enjoyed many and had some great ones, but my scores are typically lower than those given by people drinking the same thing as me. Now other white stickies, particularly those from the botrytis side ... a different story.
