Nose: Old leather and maple syrup with a touch of oak and lacquer. Reminds me a bit of whiskey soaked raisins.

Palate: Rich and thick mouthfeel, with caramel, milk chocolate, raisins and dates. Starts predominantly sweet, the acidity comes in mid-palate and lasts through the finish.

Finish: Medium length, syrupy grape juice.

A wonderful wine, great nose and excellent flavor. I wish the finish didn't fade out so quickly. Not on the same level as a top wood aged producer but very good.

92 points.
