This bottle was picked up as incidental to a mixed lot of porto. I have no information about the house or about the wine itself. Any help out there from the ex-perts?

When was it bottled?

Romaneira has made some good old tawny's.

I've since seen information that this is of the biggest Quintas on the river, and is a producer also of Colheitas. Be of interest to find whether I like the one I bought.

I just finished a Quinta da Romaneira Vintage Port 2011, and thought it was a delightful bottle of port, even though very young.
I am sure your 1967 Colheita will be good too.

Thanks. Will be looking forward to it, when it appears here from the auction house.

The Quinta is owned by Christian Seely (Noval CEO) and some partners. Their VP's are slowly improving. They make some very good dry wines. And they make some outstanding tawny's, of varying type. It would depend on when this was bottled. The Quinta has existed for a very long time prior to the Seely bunch buying it. It should be a rather good Port I'd hope. Look forward to hearing how it is when you get it and try it.

Delaforce Vintage Port
1988 Half-Bottle (1) $25
Fonseca Vintage Port
1985 1lbsl Bottle (1) (61)--a Roy H Favorite, I hear
Taylor Fladgate Vintage Port
1994 Half-Bottle (1) $65
Quinta da Romaneira Vintage(?--probably a colheira) $50

were the items in this auction lot, at about $135. My estimate of the wholesale value including guesstimates on the colheitas is $191 as listed above.
