Kopke 40 Year Old White Tawny

(Bottled 2017.) Much more interesting aromas than the 10 year old white and the two white colheitas (2003 & 2007), with spicy leather, tree bark, dried leaves, and a well integrated spirit, along with honey, caramel, toffee, … cedar closet, more leather, nuttiness, walnuts. Wonderful acidity to go with the sweetness and spirit in the mouth. 94 points. (24 Sep 17)
