Recently released in Norway, both in 75 cl and 37.5 cl bottles.
Decanted 6.5 hrs. Deep dark purple colour. Intense fruity aroma in combination with floral impressions. Medium body. Powerful and elegant. Concentrated fruit all the way but there is also a distinct dryness throughout the tasting. Well-balanced sweetness/acidity although the acidity is coming on stronger at the end. A bit weak at the very end in a short to medium length aftertaste. May have limited future for cellaring. 87 pts.

IIRC, this was a drought year and cooler than normal with the berries a bit backwards as well. Not the best of vintages from what I recall so you're note sounds about on par from what I'd generally expect. A good mid term drinker??

I am surprised they released this so early, usually it's 10+ years for Malvedos. Perhaps the earlier maturing has led them to release it earlier???

My impression is that they released it because of the early maturation.
Nice to drink, but as I indicate in the TN, not much for the cellar.

Earlier this year the 2004 Malvedos VP was released and I gave it 95 pts in my TN.
Very nice VP which I also think will benefit from time in the cellar.

Thanks. And good to know about the 2004!
