1996 Quinta dos Corvos Vintage Port
(Decanted at 11 a.m., tasted at 6 p.m.) Smells of dark berry, blackberry, rubber, and tar, along with some orange. The aroma is somewhat oxidized, with a little stewed pruns. Lots of tannins in the mouth, and lots of warmth in the finish. In between, those prunes are dominant, along with some of the orange, and some leather. The orange acidity is nice. This lacks complexity, but is drinking fine now. Will it integrate, or is this one at peak? Later it tasted of mint and paan (with tobacco). 90 points.
