Bottled in 2016. While it doesn't state, it uses a driven cork so I assume it's unfiltered. Starts off with a moderately sweet red currant profile that quickly transitions into a more off-dry with a tannic backbone. Mixed into that is dark chocolate, eucalyptus, old oak, and licorice. Then on to a seamless transition to the moderately long finish. This is a very nice LBV and should age well over the next 12-18 years and will most likely improve a bit as time goes on. I've never had this and stumbled across it at a local wine store and I'm glad I did. A remarkable value at $24.

nice! that sounds way better than their 2010. at $15 i couldn't complain about it too much, but i'd prefer a nice Reserve. i'll keep an eye out for this one.

It is unfiltered, all of Sogrape's brand are now unfiltered. I opened a 1992 not too long ago, it can age well.
