Post by Andreas Platt »

Hey guys

...arriving April 28th, leaving May, 3rd for French Polynesia and returning May, 28th leaving for Vienna June, 1st.

So if there's a chance to meet...Sabine and I would share a bottle or two with the bunch...for educational purposes :-)

P.S.: Sorry, typo on arrival...28th instead 20th

MODERATOR EDIT: This thread was split from the ORIGINAL TOPIC HERE

I can't do weekends due to work. But Monday thru Thursday April 23-26 and April 30- may 3 would work for me.

April 30-May 3 would work best for me.
Perhaps we should move this to the offline planner forum.

I'll split it off when I'm at a proper computer in a bit. (EDIT: DOne)

I may be able to make it on 4/30, 5/1 or 5/2. There's a big Champagne event in LA starting on 5/3, and I'm already committed to that.

Andreas,
Does one of the days of April 30 - May 2 work for you?

Hi there!
April, 30th or May 1st would be fine.
We will likely stay in a hotel within Coachella Valley, so how and where could we arrange something?
Group size and possible locations would have to be defined as well as a theme...Moscatel, Sercial,... or rather period like 1890 to 1910 or something like that.
Time for brainstorming.

Which of those days works better for everyone? Either is good for me, though I prefer May 1 slightly.

I can look into someplace we can do it (unless someone else knows of a place or has a connection somewhere there)

We need to get a number of those attending. If just a few of us we wouldn't need much space.

We could do all the above, Madeira, Port, Moscatel :) I'm game for whatever everyone else wants to do.

Either day is good for me. I'm a definite yes. Any theme is OK as well.

- So shall we settle for May 1?

- Any ideas on where to meet in Palm Springs? Perhaps if we can find a restaurant with no or low corkage. Or if all else fails since there are only 4 of us so far, a hotel lobby.

- I can bring Port glasses if needed.

Hi Eric & Andy!

If it's just the 4 of us we could arrange doing this in our apartment/house...not 100% sure what we'll rent but let's see if anyone else wantes to join.

If not: be our guests.

Cheers

Andy

Sounds good. And I guess we'll see if anyone else chimes in and if so we can go from there.

I'll change the title to May 1 for ease of reference for people looking.

You're not looking well that day and the doctor has prescribed sunshine and fortified liquids. LOL!

A PM was sent to all three of those indicating attendance. If you could respond to that, thanks.

Hey guys. Sorry to say I will not be attending this. I've tried to reach out to Andreas but have not heard back to a message sent almost 2 weeks ago or to any inquires to this thread. With just over 2 weeks to go this should have been planned. I don't have time to chase people.
