2012 Ramos Pinto LBV Port

Unfiltered and tasted over two days. A very dark ruby in color. The dryness of this LBV was quite noticeable from the first sip then a solid amount of black cherries, eucalyptus and licorice. And I shouldn't forget the strong tannins too boot. The fruit on this was much more expressive on day 1 and had receded into itself by day 2. Matter of fact, this was much more enjoyable the first day as the fruit balanced out the tannins and gave it depth. Whereas by day 2 it was mostly drying tannins that dominated the palate. I would venture to guess this Port will be better if left in the cellar for another 4-6 years. My score today is 88, but was closer to 90 yesterday.
