1983 Graham's vintage port
Cork came out in one piece with use of The Durand. No leakage. Decanted 6 hrs. A lot of sediments. Dark purple colour. Aroma was a bit closed, although the fruit was there. Full body. Powerful, quite elegant, but the fruit is not showing as it should do. Some prunes. Acidity was increasing. Medium to long aftertaste. My impression is that this bottle had started the process of going the wrong way. Have had other 1983 Graham’s last winter, and they showed much better. 87 pts.
