2002 Quinta do Vale Meão Vintage Port

Least aromatic of the first three wines tasted (2000, 2001, and 2002 Vale Meão VP), with some oxidized fruit and stewed vegetable, along with a little rubber and tar. Tastes better than some of the aromas would suggest, but doesn’t seem anywhere near as fruity. The second taste is juicy, but lacks the layers of flavors of the previous two wines. There is a little oxidized flavor present, and the finish is relatively short. 89 points.
