2003 Quinta do Vale Meão Vintage Port

Lots of grape stem aroma, along with black cherry, blackberry, and tar. Swirling gives some menthol as well. I thought there was some orange initially, but now I can’t find it. Lots of tannins, lots of juice, and a warm finish. Thicker bodied, this has lots of tangy juicy flavor. The finish is medium-long and improving. There is also fresh fruit acidity of lemon and tangerine. Nice now, but this one seems like the best so far (tasted after 2000-2002) for further improvement with age; and it is great now too. 93+ points.
