I heard that John had recently passed away. I hope it's not true. Has anyone any information?

I'm really sorry to hear this. It was sort of sudden although I knew John wasn't in the best of health recently.
I first met John over 25 years ago when I was living in Germany and he sponsored a large tasting of Mosel wines.
Last time I saw him in person was about 10 years ago in Michigan.
I'll miss him.
