A very well documented event and some crazy old Whites in the lineup. Written in Portuguese though:

That sounds like a fine time indeed! Google Chrome did a decent job auto-translating the page to English.

I wish I could find more well aged whites to enjoy. I love love love the Leonardo 20yo, but it is nearly impossible to find. (The 50, 60, 90's are incredible too, but $$$).
The younger whites I've found available (Kopke, Quinta de Santa Eufemia) don't even compare to the Leonardo.

Is there a way for us to reproduce, at least partway, a similar tasting? :munch: [cheers.gif]

I have a couple as well. We could do it down here at my Country Club. Most likely free room, custom food order and no time limit. The chef used to work for the Gordon Ramsey Group before the Club seduced him to come over. Talk about some amazing meals at pretty killer prices. For those familiar with the College we used to do wine dinners at, it's about 10 minutes from there.

I only have a handful of qualifiers for the tasting, but LA would be fine with me. In fact I may actually be limited to "just" my two remaining 1952 Dalva Golden Whites (one 2008, one 2009) and some Mourao 60 Year Olds. I know I have a couple of other white Ports, but I believe those are 20yo and 30yo bottles.

We are doing a similar tasting in Aarhus Denmark this August. I'd be happy to host any of you.

It is the second chapter in a series of white tastings we are doing in my club.

The first bottle sourced is the DR 50 Anos Branco, which there is no more left of in the barrel at the quinta. The Danish importer bought the rest and there are now only 30 bottles remaning. [shok.gif]

Wish I could this year, it's been many years since my last visit to Denmark. Perhaps next year or the year after I can try to get back there, loved the country.
