From a 375mm bottle. Typical dark SW color---still dense purple with magenta rim. Weight looks moderate-heavy. Emits strong aromas of a flowery grape and cassiss. The taste is balanced offering diminished blackberry and cassiss; the tannins are limited here. Yet there is a distinct "zap" on an otherwise lingering finish that takes you by surprise as the enterprise is gentle until then, just a short clipped dryness that fades out quickly. I've been drinking some 1995 Madelenas recently and this is more evolved age wise. I find most SWs to be full and robust, yet this one seems more elegant. Overall, a nice Port. Cellar longer.

Addendum: I had one glass left after 3 days. The finish really smoothed out and no momentary dryness. No change in score.
