The "other" hotel rooms is what bankrupted the previous owners, who remain tied to this property and their family is still involved in the wine production. GMA may be overstating the truth a bit, with their comment: "... one of the most renowned estates ...". Er, not actually. The quality of the DOC wines is average and there are very few Ports that I've ever found to be inspiring. Hopefully there will be further improvement with the new ownership involved. We shall see.
