I skipped buying 2016. I bought lots of 2011 and figured if I'm running out of things to drink over the next several decades, I could probably pick some up on the secondary market. And now with the 2017 declarations, I'm not yet regretting my decision. I think I'll probably pick up some 2017s of my favorite producers. We'll see how this shakes out in 20-40 years.

I'm excited to buy some 2017 Graham's Stone Terraces. I love the 2016, but to me its style isn't what you'd call a classic Graham Port. Given everything I'm hearing so far, the 2017 sounds much more likely to be more stylistically Graham.

The only SBS I’ve been able to have between 2016 and 2017 was the Rozes 2016 SQVP v. The 2017 VP and SQVP, and the 2017s were head and shoulders better. Obviously, they aren’t a top of the heap producer of VP, but it was interesting nonetheless.
