2007 Pocas vintage port
Decanted 7.5 hrs. A lot of fine sediments at decanting. Deep magenta colour. Fresh fruit in the aroma, dominated by blackcurrant. Full body. Powerful at start with dry fruit and a “pepperish” touch. Strong, dry tannins. Although the dryness, it was fruity all the way. Towards the end it was hints of minerals (lead/iron). Medium length aftertaste. Seems younger than 12 years. Structure is a bit “bumpy”. 88 pts.
