Cossart Gordon Madeira Bual Colheita Single Harvest 1995
A nice, chalky nose with a refreshing lift - but more like a dry Oloroso sherry than a Madeira! Slightly sweet, well structured. Frankly, if served blind, I would have thought this is Sherry rather than Madeira because it lacked the VA-lift that I expect and hope to see in Madeira.
But perhaps I shouldn't care as it's a nice wine anyway.

What you consumed was a Colheita Madeira.
Unfortunately or fortunately, not all Madeiras have the VA which you and I both enjoy.
