Initial aromas were floral with strawberry and alcohol warmth, and a hint of dried old leather. Very sweet and cherry fruity, which combined with the alcohol gives a bit of cherry coughdrop flavor. There also is some flavor of tangy raisins. It then settle down to be a little less sweet and warm, and some blueberry flavor showed up. I didn't score this at the time, but remember it being quite pleasant but not outstanding, so I'll give a slightly wide range of 90-92 points.

Is it ready for prime time or does it still have time to mature? I ask as I've found a lot of 1995's are hitting their peak drinking window right now and they make nice "daily drinkers" and given I have some of these want to know if I should bring them home from my offsite and start cracking them open.

Disregard, I just saw a TN I posted 2 years ago on it (do to a spelling issue it didn't show up on an earlier search).

While I haven’t had much SW from ‘95, I definitely agree with the sentiment the vintage in general is drinking well and should be consumed. It’s not getting any better.

I agree the 95s are in a good spot to drink now or in a few years but the Madelena IMHO has a few years more to improve.

Agreed on this point. The Madelena is pretty good now, but will improve with a few more years in the bottle. I have 4 or 5 bottles (I really need to set up an Excel spreadsheet and inventory my stash) that I'll give a little bit more time.
