The Symington's have just started a retail direct to consumer website where you can order wines, Ports, Madeira and even their olive oil. You want rare large formats, yup they got it. Older stuff ex-cellars, yup got it. Madeira and magnums of older Madeira's, got that too. The only thing not yet listed are the 2017 VP's, but those should be listed in the coming week or so from what I was told. Talk about a place where you can find some awesome cool things!! Well done Sym's [notworthy.gif]

--Right now they can only ship to California residents, but that should expand in the near future.

Beware the storage fees! I hear there's a hefty "in kind" payment necessary.

On a more serious note, I thought some of the prices were reasonable, e.g. the 1968 Blandy's. Some seemed less so compared to what I've paid in the past, but I didn't do current price look-ups on these.

The prices were very reasonable given a lot of the bottles are very difficult, if not impossible, to get and they are all ex-cellars. Can't get better provenance than that, so worth a small premium.

Wow, some of the prices "were up there" IMO.

You think all prices are up there my friend. LOL. Where else you getting a mag of old Madeira or larger formats of older Ports in the states?

Does this compete with Premium Port Wines? Or are the companies integrated?

PPW is a wholesale import company. This is a retail Symington project. So there’s no issue. It’s similar to the EU folks who can buy from the Lodges in Gaia and have them shipped home. Now those of us State side can essentially do same.

Following up. It looks like they now ship to states other than just California.

That's a good sign.

It there a list of the states they do ship to? Every state other than CA I tried in their shipping drop-down said they don't ship there :(

I saw the new drop down list, which wasn't there before, and assumed they were now doing so. Clicking a bunch of random ones just now after you mentioned it, I get the same results as you mention. Perhaps they are getting close since they're starting to list them now?? I'll reach out and see what I can find out.

I believe that the Symington Family has exclusive rights to import to the USA. So it will be in their portfolio.
