Re: Offline in the Los Angeles area January 10-11, 2020
I plan to be there for dinner Friday night. Kari's participation is starting to look pretty dicey, so she may not be there at all (no dinner Saturday, either). It's just tough for her to get out of the office during year-end close, though if they're still in the middle of close she can probably take Friday off to come with me. We'll see.
Regardless, I'll be there all weekend, and she'll either be there for both dinners (but no Port) or neither.

Ok thanks. Will keep her on food list until she sorts it.Glenn E. wrote:I plan to be there for dinner Friday night. Thank you Andy. I'm hoping it will, and it's good to know there will still be the potential to still participate in Friday if I can get things adjusted on my end.

No problem. Friday is easy to add more. So if it does, even last minute, it’s easy to add you. Saturday is the only day with a cap.Marc R wrote:Thank you Andy. Re: Offline in the Los Angeles area January 10-11, 2020
Last Friday I spent some time with the Chef at the club. He wanted me to try some different foods and ingredients to see what I thought would go well for the dinner and to discuss dish items. I'm waiting on his final email with the proposed dinner, but I can tell you what we talked about will be killer. General format at the moment is as follows;
- Standing pass-around Appetizers with champagne while staff sets for dinner (we will remain at same table, sliding our Port mats forward to make room for plates/wine glasses).
- Course #1
- Course #2
- Course #3
- Dessert

Okay my flights and hotel are arranged. Kari isn't going to be able to make it down, so you can remove her from both dinners.
I have a 1950 Kopke Colheita for Saturday.
For Friday, I'm thinking one of these: 1980 Graham, 1980 Gould Campbell, or 1985 Fonseca. Any preference?

One of the 80’s would be cool to pair against Eric’s 80. But any of them work.Glenn E. wrote: ↑Thu Nov 21, 2019 11:40 am Okay my flights and hotel are arranged. Kari isn't going to be able to make it down, so you can remove her from both dinners.

Good idea - I'll bring the GC so that it then also sorta pairs with your 1977 GC.Andy Velebil wrote: ↑Fri Nov 22, 2019 4:09 am One of the 80’s would be cool to pair against Eric’s 80. But any of them work.

Hey all,
We're just over a month away from the fun.
- Please post what bottles you're bringing, at least for Saturday as I need to make up placemats.
- Please mail me a check for $150.00 for Saturday dinner (see the email I sent. If you need it again let me know). If I don't get a check or hear from you by two weeks out, your spot will be given up to someone on the reserve list.
Can't wait to see everyone!
Andy
