NV Quevedo 30 years white port

Post by Rune EG »

Bottle purchased at the Quevedo winery September 2016, and after arriving home it has stayed in our temperature-controlled wine cellar (dark). Bottled 2015. Decanted 1.5 hr. Medium amber colour. Aroma unfortunately dominated by alcohol. It was reduced during decanting period, but still annoying. In the background of the aroma some nuts could be detected. Full body. Powerful, quite “round” in the style, distinct citrus and nuts (both nice). The alcohol is in the background. Some bitterness. Long, powerful aftertaste. 87 pts.

Wow. That's too bad. I remember it being a special wine.
