Given to me by a Portuguese non-wine business friend back in 2005. Stored properly in my cellar during the following 14 years. According to Wine-Searcher there are not that many around for sale, and prices seems to be in the range of EUR 210 - 460.
Bottled 2004 (= 39 years at the time of bottling). Decanted 2 hrs. A lot of small sediments that were sticking to the inside wall of the bottle. Lower 1/3 of the cork was soaking wet. Dark brown colour with a significant yellow/light green rim. Powerful citrus-aroma with some acidity. Full body. Taste was powerful, “round” style, citrus (hints of orange) and wood which all ended up in a long, complex and delicious aftertaste. Acidity slightly on the high side. 94 pts.
