Over 30 Year Old. Vanilla nougat on the nose. Extremely intense mouthfeel with a vanilla bean. Bright acidity on the palate, and long, unctuous finish. (94 pts.)
It is always magical to return to this Quinta, with its history, beauty and outstanding wines. Fondly recall my first visit to Vesuvio in 2006, and tasting the 1994 Vesuvio Vintage Port. It ignited my curiosity and later passion for Port wines, and remains one of my all-time sentimental favorites. We were joined by our old friend Dominic Symington, Director at Symington Family Estates for a lovely afternoon tasting.
