2000 Warre's LBV

Decant time was 5 hours. VERY dark purple. 4 years in the cask and 16 years in the bottle and this Port looks like a baby. It has a spicy, slightly alcoholic nose to it and this either needs more time in the decanter or more time to age. It tastes young and full of black fruit. A nice, warm, medium length finish. I'd love to find a few more bottles of this to lay down for another 5 - 10. It will make it. I'll see if it evolves a little more in 24 hours, but for now it's a solid 91 pts.
"I have often thought that the aim of Port is to give you a good and durable hangover, so that during the next day you should be reminded of the splendid occasion the night before." - Hungarian/British journalist & author George Mikes
