2016 Quinta do Vale Meao vintage port
Decanted 7 hrs. Few larger pieces of sediments at opening. Deep dark purple colour. Powerful aroma of dark berries (especially blackcurrant), minerals and wet wood. Medium to full body. Powerful, elegant (smooth like silk), plenty fruit (especially cherries). Acidity/sweetness-balance is a bit too much towards the acid-side. Distinct tannins and a bit dry towards the end. Long aftertaste. 92 pts.
