Translucent copper color. Looks tawny without the extreme (green/yellow) rim. Definitely NOT tawny on the nose. Subtle cherry and cocoa nose. A touch of tobacco. Medium bodied palate. Definitely hot in the finish. Medium bodied. Lacks complexity, but is clean. An OK wine. A success for a 1975. 87 points.

Agree. My last one was ~4 years ago. Fully mature, on slow downhill slide. Good QPR if you can get them cheap. Sadly, recently people at auction have way overpaid for them. Lol

LOL! Yes it was cheap. I bought this from auction. This was way back in 2010 during the financial crisis. The lot was one case of 1977 Gould Campbell VP and one case of 1975 Cockburn VP. I put in what I thought was a low bid for just the GC alone ($43 / bottle) and valued the Cockburn as free. I won the lot, so it's got great QPR. And.... I believe that I split those cases with you!
