1966 Taylor Vintage Port

Post by Glenn E. »

Med red or ruby color, quite light but not fading to pink like some old Ports start to do. Lots of soft strawberry on the nose. The palate is softly tangy and pleasant, but has a bitter edge and displays more alcohol than I'd like. Very nice fruits and easy to drink, but the bitterness and alcohol are just a little bit too distracting to rate this higher. Others liked it significantly more, which made me question my palate for the evening, but later bottles proved to me that my palate was fine.

91 points.
