1880 Solera Blandy's Verdelho

Post by Eric Ifune »

Bottle 67 out of 144. Bottled by Edward Young and Co., specially selected for Sherry-Lehmann, NY.
Glowing amber, gold, green. Sweet, fruity aromas. Tangerines and oranges with walnut, honey, and toffee. Medium weight on the palate. Rich. Sweet for Verdelho but with great balancing acidity. Great complexity. More citrus on the palate with preserved lemons and crystallized orange peel. Quite a long, rich finish. 94+ points. A lovely rich styled Verdelho.
