2005 Quinta do Portal vintage port
Purchased an OWC of 6 bottles at the Danish importer December 2014. Since then been stored in our temperature controlled (and dark) wine cellar. This was the first bottle after opening the OWC. Decanted 3 hrs which appeared to be OK. A lot of sediments when decanted. Slightly foggy. Medium red with a touch of brown. Aroma of overripe fruit. Full body. Some power, a lot of elegance and fruit. The maturation is taking place rapidly (at least for this bottle). It is giving the impression of a vintage port from late 80s/early 90s. Medium length aftertaste. Will open several bottles during 2020 as I doubt they will last more than 2-3 years. I hope I'm wrong. 91 pts.
