2003 Rocha VP

Post by Eric Menchen »

375ml bottle, decanted at 16:30. Lots of jammy berry aromas, with grape, blueberry, boysenberry, and lingonberry. There is a mild and not unpleasant spirit, along with some spice and dried leaf aroma; followed by a little cherry. Tastes a lot like it smells, with concentrated fruits, and spirit becoming more prominent. Tannins are light for such a young wine, and the acid is also on the lighter side. Very fun now, but these two issues would be concerning of you want to age this.

Bottle was double capsuled. There was an orange-yellow capsule on the inside, with the year on it, and a black outer capsule, with the selo in between.
