2015 Dow Porto Vintage Quinta da Senhora da Ribeira

Decanted for about an hour, I plan to pour this back into the bottle for drinking tomorrow. But I poured a little tonight.
Color is very dark purple, with some dark magenta at the rim. Lots of the expected young aromas, like grape stem, esteva, and dark berries including blackberry and blueberry. Later I was able to get a little watermelon and rose out of the background. Swirling hides those and reveals some spices, particularly black pepper, as well as some tar and licorice. The original grape stem and esteva might now be mixed in with some eucalyptus as well. The near empty glass smelled slightly herbaceous, of tarragon.
The flavors match the aromas, with lots of dark fruit. The tannins are certainly present, but not overwhleming. The acid is present, but taking a back seat to the fruit and tannins. It tastes of orange citrus. Along with the fruit, this is chocolaty too. It isn't as dry as I would expect a Dow to be. And the finish is a little on the short side. With the disclaimer that young fruit driven Ports are not my favorite style, I'm going to score this 88 points.
I expect I will like this bottle with more decant time, and future bottles with more years.
