This is a nice young vintage port that can be consumed now. General impression is that it will surprise me if it will last much more than 10 years from now. Having 11 more bottles they will be consumed spread over the next decade from now.
Decanted 3 hrs. Will do 4 hrs for next bottle. More sediments than in most of the vintage port bottles I have decanted. Deep, deep dark red colour. Aroma dominated by ripe fruit. Full body. A bit elegant in style. Taste is full of ripe (but not overripe) fruit, which is really wonderful at this stage. Showing schist/minerals, hints of chocolate and cherries. A bit dry towards the end. Acidity/sweetness-balance is in place. Medium length aftertaste. 91 pts.
