This was a leaker... not a terrible leaker, but I felt that it should be opened. Lot's of sugary residue under the capsule. Actually has a pretty good cork. Very dark color. Smokey cherries and old mahogany nose. Full bodied. Big fruity entry. Huge mid palate. Very long, juicy finish. It's so smooth now, but ... when you wait... there are still some substantial tannins in the finish. There was no heat what so ever. I think that those tannins are good because they reign in the sweetness. Just an amazing Port entering into its early maturity. Wonderful! 94 points.

That's good to hear. 43 year old VP and just entering it's maturity. I have one bottle, now the big question is when? :-)

Hi John.
It's a very strong wine. If you believe that the storage was not proper or that it is leaking, then feel free to drink it. It's delicious! On the other hand, if you have a perfectly stored, non-leaking bottle, I would hold on for another 5-10 years.
