Glad we will always have a resource for the Beneficio from these 20 vintages, thanks to my friends at this site, who also offered FTLOP'ers their amazing Wine/Grape Map of Portugal that I listed in one of the last few newsletters.

You know , I get the feeling that regardless of whether the beneficio is raised or lowered , the price of vintage port or premium tawnys varies little in the Québec , Ontario or canadian markets. [dash1.gif]
We have a monopoly situation in these 2 province's that have wreaked havoc with the laws of supply and demand
Taylor and Graham have been able to take advantage of : - a monopoly
- a small marketplace
Positive: port awareness is raised
Negative: little room in the stores for nameworthy ports
Sure private imports are a way , but all imports must go through the monopoly [dash1.gif]

Hey , what do I care !! It's port night tonight :munch:
