Decanted 5 hrs which was OK. Medium to dark red colour with actually a touch of brown. Aroma of mature fruit (plums on the way to be prunes), and also a touch of oak. Full body. Taste is powerful, plenty with berries, soft and nice sweetness incl. prunes. In the background some alcohol which stayed in the taste through out the consumption. Acidity/sweetness-balance is OK. The structure of this 2000-vintage port is not as good as the 1997 VP from same producer. This 2000 VP was a bit up-and-down in impression during the consumption. Medium length aftertaste. 87 pts.
