Decanted at 2 p.m. A small pour at that time smelled of eucalyptus and showed some warmth. Flavor was light and the body was thin, but not unpleasant. At this point, 90 points would be generous.
Tasted at 7 p.m. Aroma still shows warmth, but berry fruit with raspberry and blackberry make things more interesting, along with a little leather. There is also a hard candy cherry aroma. Flavor shows the fruitiness as well, with the warmth in the medium-long finish. Acid is light, tannins are even lighter, but this is a pleasant drink. Age wise, it seems more like a 1977 or 1970 of one of the bigger names. I didn't write down a score at this point, but I'm going to go with 90 from my best recollection.
